Change Advisor and Resilience Coach

I’m Sylvia Halligan, and my work is helping people through change.

Some of that work happens inside organizations. As a Prosci-certified change management practitioner and trainer, I’ve led large-scale transformations across a range of industries. I help leaders and teams move thoughtfully and mindfully through transitions, and I coach new practitioners as they find their footing.

The rest happens with individuals. My coaching brings Eastern philosophy and Western science together. I help people notice what their body and mind do under pressure, and build the steadiness to respond with more choice. Sessions draw on breathwork, meditation, guided imagery, embodiment and energy psychology, grounded in neuroscience and positive psychology.

Over the years, I’ve witnessed the same thing in both settings. The best-intentioned plans stall because the people carrying the change come with nervous systems, histories, and habits. When we give that human side true attention, change has a much better chance of lasting.

Thriving Through Change grew out of that belief. It’s a 10-week resilience program for people navigating mid-life transitions. Participants have time to apply the theories each week, and the support continues after the last with one-on-one coaching and a reunion. Only in this way do we make space for new habits.

I hold a Master of Science in Mind-Body Medicine. I’m an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), certified in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP), Applied Positive Psychology Coaching (APPC), and in Group and Team Coaching (GTC). I’m also a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and a Certified Interior Decorator (CID) and Feng Shui Consultant.
